BLESSED IS THE BJO.....

I have to say a few words about Bjo Trimble here.

At the end of the second TOS season, NBC announced that Star Trek would not be renewed for a third season. Back in those days a two year show would not be syndicated for distribution. In other words, NO RERUNS. The death sentence for a TV show.
Bjo, who was already a leader in the fan community, manned a 'save Star Trek' campaign to flood NBC with letters and phone calls to renew the show for another year. It worked and NBC announced the show's renewal during the last episodes of season two. A television history first.
In all likelihood, Star Trek would have disappeared forever had it not been for her and all of US fans who wrote in to show our support.
We love you Bjo, thanks.
Thanks for checking my site out. My Star Trek journey has been long, interesting, full of fun, friendship and lots of love. New shows are still coming out which shows that, as bumper stickers and buttons in the 70's said, "Star Trek Lives".It warms my heart to know that, while I may not be around much longer, Trek always will be.
Live long and prosper, peace and long life.

P.S. ya did a good thing, Gene.

Oh, those fan zines....

In the 70's and 80's fans were starving for the Trek. So along came the zines. Mostly written by the lady fans and dealing with Spock in various modes of undress and vulnerabilities, these gems of creative tale weaving were entertaining, funny, adventurous and sometimes downright pornographic.
The Sensual Vulcan, Spock Enslaved and more dealt with poor Spock being at the mercy of some horny powerful female and forced to do her...uh,do her bidding. My wife loved these things and bought a lot of em'.
We did our own in the mid 80's. One was autographed by Mark Lenard. They are all originals and available for sale. Ask for the list.
